Create checklists

Checklists are a key tool for organizing workflows in a structured, complete, and transparent way. They ensure that all important steps are taken into account and properly documented.

In this tutorial, you’ll learn where to find checklists and how to create your own.

1. Facility contents

To create a new checklist, go to the facility contents section and click + New.

2.1. Add components

In the next step, you’ll see a list of different elements on the left side that you can add to your form.

To add one, click on it, hold the mouse button, and drag it to the preferred position.

2.2. Layout components

Start with layout components. They form the foundation into which you can insert the appropriate fields.

2.3. Edit fields

Click on ✏️ to edit a field.

To duplicate a field, use the icon in the middle.

To delete a field, click on 🗑️.

Now adjust your fields to match your specific requirements. If the field should be mandatory, check the Required option.

Close the view once the structure meets your needs.

Note

Lists adapt to the screen size. On smaller displays, elements are displayed beneath each other instead of side by side.

Tables don’t do this. They keep their fixed structure, which can make viewing difficult on smaller screens.

3. Editors & devices

Next, select which device categories and types the checklist should be available for.

Also decide whether only you should be able to edit the checklist, or if another person should have access as well. If so, select them under Editors.

Finally, click Save.

Note

If you grant editing rights to other people, they can make fundamental changes to the checklist. So make sure you’re okay with that before selecting this option.

Tip

For the selected device types and models, the checklist is automatically assigned when performing actions.

However, you can also manually select it for actions involving other devices.
